ROTM - Arivaipa Canyon (Rug Road) 04/25 - 04/27/2014
Author: LandCruiserPhil, murf, mtkreitz, Rudster
Thanks Wilma83 for putting this most excellent run together
As we headed down to Turkey Creek to meet Wilma83 and Greg (they found the choice camp spot, large enough for the entire group). Her 1983 60 "wilma" is truly one of the nicest 60's I have seen. She is a true Cruiser head and has done extensive upgrades down to the smallest details - a nice LC indeed - Her new-ish RTT was very cool!
On the way out the next morning, we stopped at Turkey Creek ruins where we checked out the very well preserved one room house which was used like a "hunting cabin" for forays for food away from the permanent camps of the resident indian population who permanently lived over in Aravipa.
Mark and Rudy checking out the amazing scenery.
It was hard for us (Wilma83 and Greg, MTKreitz and Kathy, LandCruiserPhil, Rudster, Funner, and myself) to leave such a beautiful area and found ourselves lingering as much as possible before having to head back to civilization. (A great group and one of the best runs in a long time!)

Thank you Mekaela for making this happen and to everyone that went. Another great trip in the books.
